This engaging, school-based role spans 3.5 days per week in a supportive educational environment close to Chapel Hill, NC. You’ll work hand-in-hand with students, staff, and families to deliver high-quality speech and language services, helping learners reach their full potential.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) certification
- Bilingual fluency—comfortable providing services in both English and a second language
- Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Current state licensure, or eligibility to obtain credential prior to start
- Exceptional communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Dedication to cultural competence and inclusive practices
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of students’ communication abilities and create individualized treatment plans
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to a diverse caseload
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to support students’ academic and social success
- Provide counseling and education to families and staff regarding speech-language development
- Maintain documentation, progress reports, and compliance with school and district policies
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary teams, and ongoing professional development
