This contract opportunity is ideal for a dedicated Mental Health Specialist looking to work with general education students in both individual and group settings. Openings are available at the elementary and high school levels. You’ll collaborate with educators and staff to foster positive behavior, deliver professional learning, and respond to evolving building needs.

Qualifications:
- Master’s degree required—bachelor’s degrees are not accepted
- Active Michigan LARA License (visit https://www.michigan.gov/lara/bureau-list/bpl/health/hp-lic-health-prof/counseling for details)
- One of the following licenses or credentials:
- Licensed master’s level social worker or school social worker
- Limited licensed master’s level social worker (under LMSW supervision)
- Licensed or limited licensed master’s level psychologist
- MDE credentialed master’s level school psychologist
- Licensed master’s level marriage and family therapist
- Licensed master’s level (or limited, under supervision) professional counselor
- School Counselor License (SCL)
- Michigan Teaching Certificate with School Counselor (NT) endorsement
- Preliminary or Temporary School Counselor licenses (must apply to LARA as LLPC/LPC within 24 months of hire)
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide social-emotional support to students individually and in groups
- Support staff through professional learning sessions and positive behavior initiatives
- Collaborate with school teams to address student needs and assist in program development
- Adapt to building-wide requirements, supporting classrooms or school initiatives as needed
