Skills and Licensure Requirements:

  • Active RI SLP license required
  • RIDE certification (Rhode Island Department of Education) required
  • Completion of or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is welcome
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Experience with pediatric populations in schools or healthcare settings highly valued
  • Teletherapy or virtual service delivery experience a plus
  • SLPA credentials and experience in school or healthcare settings also considered

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders for elementary and/or secondary students
  • Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapy goals in collaboration with IEP teams
  • Provide direct therapy services tailored to each student’s unique needs, both in-person and via teletherapy as needed
  • Maintain timely and thorough documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines
  • Collaborate with educators, school staff, and families for holistic support
