Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • Current licensure or eligibility as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA), SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, or equivalent
  • Experience in school-based settings preferred, but strong clinical or fieldwork backgrounds also welcome
  • Passion for working with children in ECSE (Early Childhood Special Education) through 1st grade
  • Familiarity with interventions in articulation, language, and pragmatic skills (AAC experience not required)
  • Strong organizational skills to manage a weekly caseload
  • Commitment to fostering communication growth and building positive relationships with students, staff, and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to students with diverse communication needs in grades ECSE through 1st grade
  • Collaborate with supervising SLPs—supervision available for Clinical Fellows (CF)
  • Collect data and assist in progress monitoring for student goals
  • Maintain appropriate documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
  • Participate in IEP meetings, as needed, and consult with educators and support staff
  • Communicate regularly with families to encourage carryover of skills
