Experience the rewarding nature of supporting young learners as a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist for a first-semester contract position serving students in an elementary setting. Take on a meaningful role, providing your expertise to help approximately 38 students enhance their communication skills in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Certificate as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC)
  • Valid Pennsylvania SLP Educator Certificate required
  • Previous school-based SLP experience preferred
  • Passion for making a positive impact on student learning and development
  • Excellent communication skills, both with students and team members
  • Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students in accordance with individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Conduct assessments, screenings, and evaluations as needed
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation and progress notes
  • Work closely with teachers and other staff to address student needs and support classroom learning
  • Participate in IEP meetings, offering recommendations and updates on student progress
  • Utilize evidence-based practices and implement creative strategies to engage students

Position Details:

  • Contract runs from August 24, 2026, to January 4, 2027 (dates subject to change)
  • Set onsite hours: 3 days per week, 8:15 AM to 3:40 PM
  • Convenient single-site campus serving Dunbar Township Elementary
  • Focused caseload of about 38 students, allowing for individualized attention
