This full-time, contract opportunity is perfect for an experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) eager to make a difference in education by delivering compassionate care and professional support to a diverse student population.
You will serve as a key member of an LVN pool, offering flexibility to respond to the dynamic needs of the school setting. This includes assisting students throughout their school day, providing 1:1 support when required, and collaborating closely with school counselors and staff. Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Active California LVN License (required)
- Previous experience in a school setting or working with pediatric populations preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to respond quickly and professionally in diverse healthcare situations
- Comfortable with both pool assignments and 1:1 care, as needed
- Committed to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to district protocols
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver daily health and nursing services to students, both general and individualized
- Support the overall health and wellness of the student body as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with regulations
- Parent and staff liaison for student medical needs and care plans
- Provide emergency first aid and manage medications as prescribed
