PCU/Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) | Kingston, Georgia
Job Description
Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years Stepdown RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Deliver essential care as a Registered Nurse specialized in Stepdown and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) settings. This role offers an opportunity to engage with complex patient populations while working within a dynamic inpatient environment.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid RN license
- Minimum of one year recent experience in Stepdown and/or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary care teams
- Excellent communication and patient education abilities
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess patients with changing or complex health conditions in a fast-paced progressive care environment
- Administer medications, monitor intravenous infusions, and manage advanced medical equipment
- Implement individualized care plans and document patient progress accurately
- Provide support, education, and instructions to patients and their families throughout their care journey
- Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare staff to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
- Respond promptly to emergencies and intervene appropriately
