Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
  • Valid SLP license for the state
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates encouraged to apply
  • Previous experience in a school setting, especially working with middle school students, preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech, language, and communication challenges
  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate regularly with special education staff, classroom teachers, and families to support student goals
  • Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and required documentation in accordance with school and regulatory standards
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise as a core member of the student support team
  • Provide input on classroom strategies and accommodations to foster student success
  • Engage in ongoing professional learning related to speech-language pathology in school settings
