Step into an engaging contract opportunity supporting students across three schools as an Itinerant Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). This position will allow you to make a meaningful impact while expanding your experience in a school-based setting. You’ll be serving a caseload of approximately 60 students across Shelby County High, Columbiana Middle, and Helena Intermediate—with a solid 37.5-hour workweek and clear schedule.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC)
  • Valid Professional Educator SLP Certificate for Alabama
  • School-based SLP experience or strong interest in K-12 educational settings
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Ability to thrive in an itinerant role, providing services across multiple locations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students with diverse needs on your caseload
  • Perform thorough assessments, maintain up-to-date documentation, and contribute to IEP processes
  • Collaborate closely with SPED teams, classroom teachers, and families to support student progress
  • Manage your time across three districts, ensuring consistency and continuity of care
  • Participate in team meetings, consult with school staff, and provide training as needed
