Job Description
Make an impact supporting students’ educational journeys as a School Psychologist in the McKinney, TX area for the upcoming school year! This onsite, contract opportunity runs from August 3, 2026, through May 27, 2027, with a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
Your expertise will help foster a nurturing and inclusive school environment, as you collaborate with students, families, and staff to support academic and social-emotional growth. Be instrumental in shaping positive experiences for learners during a pivotal school year.
Qualifications:
- Current, active School Psychologist license in Texas (required)
- Previous experience in a K-12 school setting (preferred)
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and adapt in a dynamic environment
- Strong commitment to supporting diverse student populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and interpret results for educational planning
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized support plans for students
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents to identify student needs and provide recommendations
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide expertise in special education eligibility
- Support crisis intervention efforts and promote mental health awareness within the school community
- Maintain accurate, confidential student records and adhere to applicable regulations
