School-Based Physical Therapist - Clermont, FL
Job Description
Step into an impactful role as a full-time Physical Therapist supporting students across the K–12 spectrum, including some Pre-K, in a dynamic school setting. This itinerant position allows you to engage with students from a variety of backgrounds, typically serving 2–3 schools daily as part of a collaborative team with another Physical Therapist and a Physical Therapist Assistant. The district is currently actively interviewing candidates, making this the ideal moment to start the process for the upcoming school year.
Key Qualifications:
- Active and valid Physical Therapist license in Florida
- Previous school-based experience is highly preferred, though not required
- Comfortable working with diverse K–12 student populations
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration and documentation
- Experience providing both direct and indirect PT services is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality physical therapy services to a diverse caseload of approximately 94 students (with distribution among your team)
- Conduct thorough evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for students with varying needs
- Travel between 2–3 schools each day within the district; all locations are part of an extensive support network
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and family members to promote optimal student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation to meet state and district standards
- Participate in meetings as needed to support student outcomes
