This contract role focuses on delivering specialized instruction for both middle and elementary grade caseloads, exclusively onsite. As an ASD Teacher, you will play a pivotal part in fostering academic and social success, collaborating alongside dedicated colleagues, and ensuring effective IEP implementation for students.
Qualifications:
- Holds current Georgia Special Education Teacher certification (submission of license verification required)
- Prior experience in a school-based special education setting is highly valued
- Skilled in classroom management with a talent for cultivating a positive, structured environment
- Proven ability to collaborate with general education staff, families, and support personnel
- Available full-time, onsite, Monday through Friday, for the 37.5-hour workweek
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and differentiated support to students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Develop, adapt, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Maintain diligent classroom organization, documentation, and compliance with all special education regulations
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure students’ academic and social growth
- Communicate progress and collaborate regularly with families and colleagues
- Uphold consistent routines and structure to support students’ learning and behavioral needs
