This contract role is designed for passionate educators who are skilled in fostering an inclusive, engaging, and accessible learning environment for students with hearing differences. The position is based onsite, with consideration for virtual candidates who meet all requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Must hold a valid Standard Professional Certificate
  • Completion of Deaf/Hard of Hearing (K-12) Endorsement required
  • Current IVP Fingerprint Card is mandatory
  • Experience working with Deaf or Hard of Hearing students in educational settings
  • Strong understanding of individualized educational planning, assistive technology, and current instructional strategies for D/HH learners
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction tailored for Deaf or Hard of Hearing students, ensuring every child has the tools and support they need to thrive
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including speech language pathologists, audiologists, classroom teachers, and families
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed, providing regular feedback to students and parents
  • Advocate for student needs and foster self-advocacy skills within your classroom
  • Participate in school meetings, professional development, and family conferences
