Key Qualifications:
- Valid Professional FL TVI License (required)
- OMS Certification (required)
- Screening and assessment/testing experience (required)
- Preferred: Previous school-based experience with visually impaired students
- Strong communication and consultative skills across K-12 age groups
- Ability to travel between schools as part of an itinerant schedule
Role & Responsibilities:
- Deliver both direct and indirect vision support services to 15–20 K-12 students across multiple schools (typically 2–3 schools per day)
- Conduct screenings and assessments for students, utilizing strong testing acumen
- Develop individualized education programs and provide consultative services, some occurring monthly
- Collaborate with district staff to coordinate flexible weekly schedules and ensure a manageable commute
- Serve as a main point of contact for orientation and mobility needs
