Special Education Teacher - Mesa, AZ

Key Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Arizona Secondary Teaching License
• K-12 Special Education Certificate required
• IVP Fingerprint Card (current and valid)
• Experience supporting students with emotional disabilities or related eligibility categories
• Strong understanding of the diverse needs of at-risk and culturally diverse students
• Background in developing and implementing special services programs and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and district standards
• Either possess EEEl training or willingness to participate in relevant professional development
• Ability to remain flexible, organized, and responsive to the evolving needs of the classroom

• Deliver specialized instruction and individualized support for students on your caseload
• Collaborate with team members to establish inclusive, positive learning environments
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs and other required documentation
• Provide behavior support and strategies to foster student growth in social and emotional domains
• Engage parents, support staff, and colleagues in the student’s success
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all legal requirements
