Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active CA Occupational Therapy license required
  • Prior experience working in California school settings
  • Comfortable administering BOT-3 and Peabody assessments to students with multiple disabilities
  • Strong ability to analyze and use data to inform recommendations and address parent concerns
  • Familiarity working with K-12 populations, across mild to severe caseloads
  • Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus, though not required
  • Ability to independently manage and schedule a fluctuating caseload with minimal supervision; adaptability to changes in student needs
  • Itinerant work experience highly valued

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative OT services as outlined in student IEPs
  • Assess functional abilities using standardized assessment tools (BOT-3, Peabody) and interpret data for team and parent communication
  • Develop customized intervention plans and provide detailed recommendations for service delivery
  • Maintain thorough documentation and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Be self-directed in organizing daily itineraries based on district priorities and student requirements
  • Balance changing caseloads and assessment schedules as district needs evolve
