What We’re Looking For:

• Virginia Quality Assurance Screening (VQAS) Level III required
• Strong preference for an EIPA Score of 3.5+, but candidates with EIPA 3.0+ or QAS score of 3+ will be considered
• Experience in educational settings, ideally working 1:1 with elementary students
• Adaptability to provide interpreting coverage across multiple locations as needed
• Visaphonics familiarity preferred but not required

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality 1:1 sign language interpretation for elementary-aged students
• Deliver clear, accurate communication between students, staff, and peers
• Serve at assigned locations, and be flexible in offering coverage when primary students are absent
• Foster a supportive and inclusive atmosphere for D/deaf and hard-of-hearing students
