Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) | Mesa, Arizona

Make an immediate impact supporting students as a contract Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher for the upcoming academic year. Serve full-time from August through May, working directly with students who have hearing differences. An ideal fit will bring compassion, specialized expertise, and a commitment to empowering students to communicate, learn, and thrive. This role may allow for a virtual work arrangement pending review.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Standard Professional Certificate required
• Deaf/Hard of Hearing (K-12) Endorsement completed
• IVP Fingerprint Card mandatory
• Demonstrated experience teaching or working with deaf and hard of hearing students
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Ability to create a positive, inclusive classroom environment
• Comfortable working onsite and open to consideration for virtual candidates

Essential Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Develop IEPs and track student progress toward individual goals
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, specialists, and families
• Ensure accommodations and modifications are effectively implemented
• Foster a supportive, accessible classroom environment
• Actively participate in professional development as needed
• Maintain accurate records and ensure ongoing compliance with district requirements
