Location: White Plains, NY

Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

Hours: Monday - Friday (Clinical days require an 8:00 AM start with flexibility until 5:30/6:00 PM; non-clinical days are standard 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM with a 1-hour lunch)

Compensation: $130,000 - $140,000 annually

Medix is currently partnering with a premier specialized surgical practice to recruit a highly dedicated and detail-oriented Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join their elite clinical team.

In this role, you will work directly alongside a world-renowned lead surgeon, gaining unparalleled hands-on experience in specialized, high-level operating procedures while managing clinical administrative tasks and patient care. Key Responsibilities:

  • Directly assist the lead surgeon in the operating room (OR) for complex, specialized skull-based and vascular procedures.

  • Provide comprehensive care across operating room, inpatient, and outpatient clinical settings.

  • Manage clinical administrative tasks, accurate patient charting, and documentation to maintain a seamless operational workflow.

  • Maintain complete synchronization with the administrative and clinical teams to ensure schedules, patient prep, and surgical workflows run flawlessly.

  • Travel to the practice's Manhattan location (161 Madison Avenue) on the fourth Wednesday of every month based on scheduling and volume demands.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active credentialing and active state licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) in New York (CT licensure is a plus).

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

  • Proven clinical foundation with prior experience in high-level surgical environments (exceptional new graduates with strong surgical rotations will be considered).

  • High proficiency in surgical workflow management and proactive clinical problem-solving.

  • Exceptional communication skills, extreme attention to detail, and a rigorous, collaborative approach to teamwork.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior clinical or surgical experience in Otolaryngology (ENT), Neurosurgery, Plastics & Reconstructive Surgery, or Skull-Based surgery.

  • Direct hands-on experience or familiarity with the ModMed EMR platform.
