Responsibilities
\nThe Chaplain responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
\n- \n
- Visits newly admitted patients and their families to offer support and spiritual assistance \n
- Responds to all calls for chaplaincy services including crisis calls, requests for patients and families and referrals from hospital staff \n
- Provides spiritual care and support to patients/families and staff as needed and/or requested \n
- Collaborates and works cooperatively with physicians, nurse case managers and other members of the interdisciplinary health care team \n
- Documents the spiritual care provided in the appropriate records \n
- Reports to assigned Supervisor, Manager, or Director \n

Qualifications

5 years pastoral ministry experience required
\n - \n
Endorsement by a recognized faith community and/or ordination by a recognized faith community
\n - \n
Those already hired without CPE must complete unit-based competency validations and mandatory trainings within 18 months of hire
\n
Preferred Qualifications:
\n- \n
- \n
2 years’ experience in hospital setting preferred
\n - \n
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
\n - \n
Master’s of Divinity from a seminary accredited by the Association of Theological Schools preferred or a similarly credentialed accrediting agency, or its equivalent as determined by the Association of Professional Chaplains
\n - \n
Clinical Pastoral Education (1 unit preferred)
\n \n
