Job Description
Make a difference in the lives of students by providing support and expertise as a School Psychologist within a vibrant high school environment. Situated near North Dartmouth, MA, this contract role focuses on promoting academic success, emotional well-being, and positive behavioral outcomes for a student population of approximately 900. The most recent testing caseload included around 70 students, offering a manageable and engaging work scope. This opportunity is posted as a full-time position, but flexible scheduling is available for candidates seeking part-time (three days per week) arrangements.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- State licensure or eligibility as a School Psychologist
- Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Proficiency in administering, scoring, and interpreting psychoeducational assessments
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Ability to create individualized recommendations for interventions and supports
- Commitment to promoting equity and positive student outcomes
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments for referred students, evaluating cognitive, academic, behavioral, and emotional needs
- Consult with teachers, staff, and parents to develop effective interventions and supports
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to multidisciplinary teams
- Support crisis intervention and prevention efforts as needed
- Provide short-term counseling and behavioral consultation to students
- Maintain clear documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines
