School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Uniontown, Pennsylvania
Job Description
Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by providing speech-language services in a supportive elementary school setting. This contract position calls for a driven, collaborative professional to work onsite with approximately 38 students at the elementary level over the course of the first semester. You’ll be part of a friendly team and have the chance to build lasting relationships while shaping the communication abilities of your students.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Pennsylvania SLP Educator Certificate (required)
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Experience working in school settings, preferably elementary level
- Comfortable managing a diverse caseload and tailoring interventions
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to students identified with communication needs
- Conduct evaluations and write comprehensive reports
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Monitor progress and adjust interventions accordingly
- Communicate regularly with families and school staff
- Keep thorough documentation in compliance with state and district requirements
Position Highlights:
- Contract runs from late August through early January (dates subject to change)
- Onsite at a welcoming elementary school, three days per week (8:15 AM – 3:40 PM)
