Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ communication growth across two elementary schools near Homosassa, FL. This full-time role (40 hours per week) welcomes Speech-Language Pathologists (CCC or CFY) as well as skilled SLPAs. You’ll join a collaborative team environment, splitting a manageable caseload with two other SLPAs and an SLP, ensuring each professional has the support and resources needed to thrive. The assignment runs from August 3, 2026, through May 28, 2027, with students arriving August 10, providing a well-structured, school-year commitment.
What we’re seeking:
- Current SLP or SLPA license in Florida (or eligibility)
- Experience in pediatric or school-based settings, or enthusiasm to learn
- Ability to coordinate effectively with other SLPs and SLPAs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Flexibility and creative problem-solving abilities
- SLPs (CCC or CFY) and SLPAs are both encouraged to apply
- Comfortable working in a fully in-person capacity
Daily Responsibilities:
- Assess and provide direct speech and language therapy to elementary-aged students with diverse needs
- Collaborate with educational staff, families, and therapy colleagues to support student goals
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to developing individualized student plans
- Adapt therapy techniques to meet varying developmental and cultural needs
