Job Summary
We are seeking a bilingual Talent Acquisition Specialist to support HR operations, recruiting coordination, and high-volume onboarding for janitorial and general labor roles in the Chicago area. This contract opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented HR professional who enjoys helping candidates navigate the hiring process while partnering closely with hiring managers, HR, payroll, and benefits teams.
This role offers a supportive, team-focused environment where accuracy, responsiveness, and candidate care are highly valued. You will play an important part in creating a smooth recruiting and onboarding experience while working with collaborative leaders and cross-functional partners who rely on strong communication, organization, and follow-through.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage recruiting administration in Workday, including job postings, candidate activity, requisition updates, and hiring workflows.
- Review applications, communicate with qualified candidates, schedule interviews, and maintain active candidate pipelines.
- Assist candidates with Workday applications, onboarding steps, background checks, first-day instructions, and hiring requirements.
- Coordinate with HR, payroll, benefits, recruiters, and hiring managers to ensure accurate employee setup and a positive onboarding experience.
- Maintain accurate recruiting records, support compliance with hiring procedures, and help manage recruiter assignments and organizational structures.
- Support recruitment events, new account onboarding, and regional hiring initiatives as needed.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay rate: $30 to $32 per hour.
- Employment type: Contract/Temporary through January 2027.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM CT.
- Work arrangement: Hybrid in Chicago, IL, with 2 days in office.
- Travel: Up to 25% within the assigned region to support recruiting and onboarding activities.
