Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Taunton, MA

Full-time contract opportunities are available for Speech-Language Pathologists to make a direct impact in a vibrant school setting near Taunton, MA. Candidates should have at least 2 to 3 years of experience post-ASHA SLP certification, with a strong grasp of school-based services and a commitment to fostering student communication development. You’ll collaborate closely with educational staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams, empowering students to overcome communication challenges.

Key qualifications:

• Active SLP-CCC credential or eligibility for SLP-CFY; School-based SLPA supervision experience preferred
• ASHA certification issued at least 2-3 years prior
• Demonstrated expertise in educational settings supporting a full spectrum of communication needs
• Willingness and ability to supervise and support up to three SLPAs (with collective caseloads of up to 165 students)
• Solid understanding of special education processes, including eligibility, evaluations, and IEP development

Primary responsibilities:

• Overseeing and providing clinical guidance to SLPAs, ensuring high-standard therapy delivery, detailed data collection, and accurate progress reporting
• Performing comprehensive special education eligibility evaluations (initial and re-evaluations)
• Participating actively in IEP meetings for new, annual, and re-evaluation cases, presenting findings and providing recommendations
• Drafting, reviewing, and updating IEPs for assigned students, adapting to fluctuating caseloads as student needs evolve
• Serving as a collaborative, resourceful member of the larger special education team
