Step into a rewarding role supporting young learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a vibrant school setting near Elgin, IL. This contract assignment begins August 20, 2026, and runs through November 3, 2026, providing dedicated service to early childhood and kindergarten students. With a full-time, 37.5-hour weekly schedule, you'll make a significant impact during these key early learning months.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active SLP licensure and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
  • Previous experience working with early childhood or kindergarten-aged students
  • Strong understanding of speech, language, and communication development
  • Excellent collaboration skills for partnering with educators and families
  • Outstanding communication, documentation, and organizational abilities
  • Comfort adapting interventions to diverse learner needs and developmental levels

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to early childhood and kindergarten students
  • Conduct screenings, evaluations, and interpret assessment results
  • Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the school team
  • Offer consultation and strategies to classroom teachers and family members
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate, timely documentation
  • Actively participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Create engaging and positive therapy sessions to foster communication growth in young learners
