Qualifications & Experience Sought:

  • Valid Arizona Secondary Teaching License (Standard)
  • Current K–12 Special Education Certificate
  • IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Demonstrated background working with students with emotional disabilities and/or those struggling with prosocial and self-regulatory skills
  • Knowledge of and sensitivity to at-risk, ethnic, limited English proficient, and exceptional student needs
  • Experience developing and implementing special education documents and service activities in compliance with all relevant guidelines
  • Previous work in self-contained behavior, autism, and structured intensive support settings highly valued
  • Essential Elements of Effective Instruction (E.E.E.I.) training, or willingness to attend professional development

Responsibilities:

  • Teach in a self-contained environment, providing structured, intensive support to students with a variety of disabilities
  • Deliver proactive instruction to help develop students’ social, emotional, and regulatory skills
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to craft individualized programs and ensure compliance with district, state, and federal mandates
  • Maintain thorough records and documentation aligned with IEPs and district standards
  • Foster an inclusive, positive classroom environment that supports diverse learning needs
