Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional is preferred
• Ability to work effectively with children and adolescents with diverse backgrounds and needs
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with teachers and staff
• Patience, adaptability, and a positive outlook in supporting student growth
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in education are a plus
• Must pass background check and any required screenings

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist classroom teachers with daily instructional activities and classroom management
• Support students individually or in small groups with assignments, activities, and social integration
• Implement teacher-planned lessons and interventions, adapting as needed to meet student needs
• Monitor student progress and report observations to supervising teachers
• Help maintain a safe, respectful, and engaging classroom culture
• Assist with record-keeping, organization of materials, and supervision during transitions, lunch, or recess
