Job Description
Step into a rewarding opportunity as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist, serving 8th and 9th grade students from August through December (first semester). This full-time contract position requires on-site presence, aligning with a 6-day cycle and daily hours from 7:30/8:00am to 2:30/3:00pm. You will split your time between dedicated 8th and 9th Grade centers, making a direct impact on students’ communication skills and academic success.
Leverage your SLP and SLP-CCC experience to provide individual and group speech therapy sessions, as well as manage a caseload of Speech Only IEP students (approximately 8–10 students). Your expertise will help guide students on their path to greater independence and engagement in school life.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC)
- Valid state licensure and necessary clearances for school-based practice
- Experience providing speech therapy services in educational settings preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and case management skills
- Ability to work in person, full-time, and commit to a 6-day cycle schedule
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group speech/language therapy to 8th and 9th grade students
- Conduct assessments, develop and implement treatment plans
- Manage and track progress for approximately 8–10 Speech Only IEP students
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other support staff
- Maintain thorough documentation and support compliance with federal and state guidelines
