This contract opportunity seeks a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support Early Childhood Special Education Preschool classrooms near Paw Paw, MI. With a manageable caseload of 25-29 students, you will have the chance to work with a vibrant and diverse group of 3-5 year olds throughout the school year.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current or eligible Michigan SLP license
- CCC-SLP highly preferred, though SLP-CF candidates are encouraged to apply
- School-based, pediatric, or healthcare SLP experience a plus
- Familiarity or comfort with teletherapy platforms welcomed
- Strong skills in assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in children
- Excellent collaborative and communication skills
Role & Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to preschoolers in Early Childhood Special Education classrooms (three total)
- Collaborate closely with educators, paraprofessionals, and families to create and implement individualized therapy plans
- Conduct screenings and comprehensive evaluations as needed for students aged 3-5
- Maintain accurate records and progress notes in compliance with school requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings, family conferences, and interdisciplinary team discussions
- Utilize both in-person and teletherapy approaches when appropriate to meet student needs
