Two contract opportunities are now available for Certified School Nurses (CSNs) or students currently enrolled in CSN programs to make a meaningful impact in roles based at either a local high school or elementary school (Romeoville, IL area).

Certified School Nurses play an integral part in daily school life—managing health offices, completing medical reviews, and participating in IEP and 504 plan processes. Enthusiasm for working collaboratively and supporting the well-being of the school community is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and active Professional Educator License (PEL) with CSN endorsement required
• Enrollment in a CSN program (actively pursuing PEL) will be considered
• School nursing or CSN experience strongly preferred
• Bilingual Spanish proficiency is a major advantage
• Strong communication skills and reliability are essential
• Ability to be flexible and work as part of a collaborative team

Responsibilities:

• Manage the school health office and provide health care to students and staff
• Conduct medical reviews and document student health needs
• Engage in the IEP/504 process with school teams and families
• Promote wellness, injury prevention, and individualized health care plans
• Maintain accurate records, communicate effectively with staff and parents

Schedule & Details:

• Contract dates: Approx. August 2026 to May 2027
• Two positions: One at a high school (7:15 a.m.–2:25 p.m.), one at an elementary school (8:25 a.m.–3:40 p.m.)
• Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
