Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an experienced Equipment Technician to support a leading medical device and advanced manufacturing organization in Santa Clara, CA. This individual will be responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining highly automated manufacturing and test equipment while collaborating with engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and production performance.

Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex equipment failures across manufacturing and test systems.
- Perform advanced diagnostics on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and controls-related equipment.
- Support IQ/OQ validation activities, data collection, and investigation efforts.
- Collaborate with Equipment Engineers on root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Lead equipment stabilization efforts during new product introduction (NPI) and production ramp-up activities.
- Analyze equipment performance trends and maintenance records to identify opportunities for reliability improvements.
- Utilize CMMS systems to track maintenance activities and support preventative maintenance programs.
- Improve equipment uptime, throughput, and operational efficiency.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional manufacturing goals.
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience supporting complex manufacturing or test equipment.
- Advanced troubleshooting experience with:
- Mechanical systems
- Electrical systems
- Pneumatic systems
- Controls and automation systems
- Experience working in regulated medical device, life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or robotics environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to diagnose complex equipment issues.
- Experience utilizing CMMS systems and maintenance history data to improve troubleshooting and equipment reliability.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous Lead Technician or leadership experience.
- Experience supporting automated manufacturing equipment.
- Background supporting equipment validation and production scale-up efforts.
