Physical Therapist - School Setting in Chicago, IL

This contract opportunity offers both part-time (4 days/week) and full-time (5 days/week) schedules with workdays from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. With a caseload comprised of students ranging from kindergarten through age 22 across two schools and specialized programs, you’ll play a critical role in student growth and success.

Key Qualifications:

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
• Experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
• Strong knowledge of therapeutic techniques relevant to children and young adults
• Ability to collaborate efficiently with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent organizational and written/verbal communication skills

Role Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, and implement individualized physical therapy interventions for students with diverse needs
• Deliver services according to IEP goals, maintaining accurate and timely documentation
• Support students across general and special education settings, ensuring a safe and accessible learning environment
• Consult with teachers and staff, providing training and strategies for classroom adaptation
• Contribute to IEP meetings and collaborate with parents to promote carryover of skills at home and school
