Job Description
Take the next step in your physical therapy career by supporting students in a dynamic school environment near Chicago, IL. This contract opportunity offers both part-time (4 days/week) and full-time (5 days/week) schedules with workdays from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. With a caseload comprised of students ranging from kindergarten through age 22 across two schools and specialized programs, you’ll play a critical role in student growth and success.
Key Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
- Experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of therapeutic techniques relevant to children and young adults
- Ability to collaborate efficiently with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent organizational and written/verbal communication skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized physical therapy interventions for students with diverse needs
- Deliver services according to IEP goals, maintaining accurate and timely documentation
- Support students across general and special education settings, ensuring a safe and accessible learning environment
- Consult with teachers and staff, providing training and strategies for classroom adaptation
- Contribute to IEP meetings and collaborate with parents to promote carryover of skills at home and school
