Job Description

Make an impact supporting students as an Autism or Emotional Support Interventionist during the 2026–2027 school year. These contract roles offer a rewarding opportunity to work hands-on in highly structured classroom environments, helping students with significant behavioral and emotional needs reach their fullest potential.

You’ll spend your days collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team—teachers, therapists, behavior specialists, and related service providers—to deliver individualized, behavior-focused supports. Start dates begin August 10, 2026, with a blend of summer academy hours and full school days resuming in late August.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, ABA, Human Services, or related field preferred; Associate’s considered with at least 1 year of relevant experience (3 years preferred)
  • Experience supporting children/adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder, emotional or behavioral disabilities, mental health needs, school-based special education, or crisis intervention
  • Proficiency with behavioral intervention strategies, de-escalation, and data collection
  • Strong professional communication, collaboration, and basic computer skills
  • Reliable, patient, and able to maintain composure during behavioral escalations
  • Must provide one completed supervisor reference check with application

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver one-on-one and small-group support to students with autism and/or emotional disabilities
  • Follow and implement individualized behavior intervention plans
  • Utilize evidence-based strategies—visual schedules, PECS, AAC, social stories, trauma-informed practices
  • Assist with daily routines, transitions, academics, and personal care as needed
  • Maintain detailed behavioral and academic data for IEP progress
  • Support safe, therapeutic, and structured classroom environments

This is a contract position for 32.5–35 hours per week, following the school calendar. Assignments are available in structured autism support and therapeutic emotional support classrooms. Please note: all interviews will be held in-person.
