Job Description
Bachelor's degree, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1+ years Radiation Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An immediate contract opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide essential care for a broad range of patients, from neonates to adults, in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver high-quality respiratory care and respond confidently to a wide variety of acute medical situations.
Schedule:
- Three 12-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Qualifications:
- Active NBRC credential required
- Oklahoma Respiratory License required
- BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required (AHA only)
- NRP certification required
- Minimum of 6 months prior experience as a Respiratory Therapist
- Proficiency with Cerner electronic charting
- Experience caring for neonates to adult patients with acute medical issues
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive respiratory care to patients with diverse, acute conditions
- Respond to emergency situations and rapidly-changing clinical scenarios
- Perform arterial blood gas sampling, airway management, and ventilator management
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure tailored respiratory therapy
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records utilizing Cerner
- Adhere to all infection prevention protocols and safety standards
- Educate patients and families regarding respiratory therapies and self-care practices
