What you’ll need to bring:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification appropriate for K-12 in New Hampshire
- Previous experience or background in special education, preferably in school settings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Organizational skills for documenting progress and maintaining records
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Delivering tailored instructional strategies to students across elementary, middle, and high school levels
- Collaborating with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to meet IEP goals
- Monitoring student progress and maintaining thorough and timely records
- Creating an inclusive and encouraging classroom environment that supports student growth
- Participating in meetings, trainings, and professional development as assigned
- Adapting to the unique needs of each student and adjusting teaching methods accordingly
This contract role offers full-time, Monday through Friday hours—ranging between 32 to 37.5 hours weekly, providing you an opportunity to immerse yourself in a supportive educational community over the course of the 12-week assignment.
