Instructional Assistant - Manchester, New Hampshire

Exciting contract opportunity available for a dedicated and structured Paraprofessional eager to make a meaningful impact as a 1:1 Paraeducator! Located near Manchester, NH, this part-time position centers on providing focused support to a 4th-grade female student, with the possibility to transition into a full-time role for candidates open to traveling. The ideal individual will have a firm, goal-oriented approach and a passion for empowering students to grow in independence.

Responsibilities include:

• Deliver focused, one-on-one support throughout the school day, keeping in alignment with elementary schedules (Monday–Wednesday).
• Implement strategies that encourage self-reliance and personal growth, helping the student gain confidence in accomplishing tasks independently.
• Exhibit strong, authoritative classroom management, setting and upholding clear boundaries and expectations.
• Proactively collaborate with teaching staff, special educators, and school administrators to coordinate and refine support plans.
• Adapt to the evolving needs of the role, including the possibility of expanding hours and supporting at a second location, should full-time interest arise.

Desired qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Paraprofessional Certification, Associate Degree, or passing Praxis score are a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to create and maintain a structured, supportive educational environment.
• Previous experience with 1:1 student support or behavioral management, especially in elementary settings.
• Confidence and readiness to lead with an authoritative but compassionate presence.
• Flexibility to work part-time (Monday–Wednesday) or full-time across multiple sites (pending schedule).
