Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing occupational therapy services across two vibrant high school communities. This 0.9 FTE position is thoughtfully split between two local high schools, allowing you to collaborate with a diverse group of students and educators while supporting individual growth and success.
You’ll work part-time at one campus (0.50 FTE) and the other half at a second campus (0.40 FTE), enriching your experience and expanding your professional network. As a valued occupational therapist, you will foster an inclusive, supportive environment that champions student development and maximizes each learner’s potential.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Prior experience delivering OT services in a school-based setting strongly preferred
- Familiarity with IEP development, documentation, and participation in MDT meetings
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with students, families, and educators
- Flexibility to travel between sites as scheduled
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ abilities and craft individualized intervention plans tailored to their needs
- Deliver school-based OT services, focusing on fine/gross motor skills, sensory processing, and adaptive strategies
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise and input as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Maintain clear and organized documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Educate staff and families on supports that enhance student participation in school routines
