Job Description
Step into a dynamic role supporting students by providing exceptional speech and language services in a school-based setting within the Warwick, RI area. This part-time contract opportunity is perfect for passionate Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) and Speech Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) who are eager to make a difference through direct and teletherapy services. With a focus on pediatrics and school-age populations, you’ll play an important role in improving communication skills and empowering young learners.
Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Valid RI SLP license required
- RIDE certification (Rhode Island Department of Education) mandatory
- Experience working in schools, pediatrics, or healthcare settings highly desired
- SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, and SLPA backgrounds considered
- Skilled in both direct and teletherapy speech services
- Collaborative, adaptable professional approach
- Effective communication and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to K-12 students, two days per week
- Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and deliver evidence-based interventions
- Collaborate with educators, families, and fellow specialists to best support each student
- Maintain detailed records and progress notes in compliance with school and state requirements
- Utilize digital therapy tools as needed for virtual therapy sessions
- Support a positive, inclusive learning environment for all students
