Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) covering a full-time maternity leave from September 1 through mid-November. Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Prior experience working in a school setting strongly preferred
- Knowledge of IEP development, delivery of speech/language interventions, and progress monitoring
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs
- Conduct evaluations, write comprehensive reports, and support eligibility determinations
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to develop and implement effective communication strategies in the classroom
- Maintain detailed records of student progress and communicate regularly with caregivers and district personnel
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development activities as required
