School Physical Therapist | Tavares, Florida

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Physical Therapist supporting K-12 and some Pre-K students for the 2026-2027 school year. This role involves delivering both direct and consultative therapy services across multiple school sites, collaborating closely with fellow physical therapy professionals to address diverse student needs. Position Details:

• Full-time contract (40 hours/week)
• On-site presence required
• School year dates: 8/3/2026 – 5/28/2027
• Typical schedule: 7:30am – 4:00pm (includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch break)
• Itinerant assignment covering two or three schools daily, with a total of 94 students shared among a PT, PTA, and yourself

Required Qualifications:

• Current Florida Physical Therapist license (Professional FL Lic.)
• Experience with school-based PT services strongly preferred but not required
• Ability to manage a varied caseload spanning elementary, middle, and high school students
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working alongside other therapists and school professionals
• Adaptability to provide both direct interventions and indirect consultative support

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs
• Deliver therapy services in alignment with IEPs and district protocols
• Document interventions and progress notes as required
• Travel between assigned schools as part of the itinerant therapy team
• Participate in ongoing credentialing processes and adhere to district onboarding guidelines
