Job Opportunity: Advanced Practice Provider in Medical Oncology
Our organization, situated in Columbus, Ohio, is on the lookout for a dedicated full-time Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to enhance our Medical Oncology team.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the care of patients in Hematology and Oncology.
- Conduct inpatient consultations and manage patients in the clinic.
- Participate in rounding for patients undergoing chemotherapy at the outpatient infusion center.
The primary working hours will be during the day, from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with occasional requirements to cover additional shifts.
Qualifications and Requirements- Education: A Master's degree in Science, Nursing, or a related specialty is mandatory. Completion of an Advanced Practitioner program is required.

Licensure/Certification:
- Active registered nurse license in the State of Ohio.
- Certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse in the relevant specialty is essential; preference will be given to those certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
- Physician Assistants will also be considered.
- BLS provider certification is required.
- ACLS, NRP, EFM, and PALS certifications may be necessary for certain departments.
- Possession of a DEA license for controlled substances or the ability to obtain one as needed.
- Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of recent and relevant experience as an APP in oncology is required.
- Communication Skills: Strong and effective communication abilities are essential.
The role involves both inpatient and outpatient settings, requiring flexibility to adapt to various patient care environments.
