Job Opportunity: Advanced Practice Provider in Medical Oncology

Our organization, situated in Columbus, Ohio, is on the lookout for a dedicated full-time Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to enhance our Medical Oncology team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the care of patients in Hematology and Oncology.
  • Conduct inpatient consultations and manage patients in the clinic.
  • Participate in rounding for patients undergoing chemotherapy at the outpatient infusion center.
Work Schedule

The primary working hours will be during the day, from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with occasional requirements to cover additional shifts.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • Education: A Master's degree in Science, Nursing, or a related specialty is mandatory. Completion of an Advanced Practitioner program is required.
  • Licensure/Certification:
    • Active registered nurse license in the State of Ohio.
    • Certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse in the relevant specialty is essential; preference will be given to those certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
    • Physician Assistants will also be considered.
    • BLS provider certification is required.
    • ACLS, NRP, EFM, and PALS certifications may be necessary for certain departments.
    • Possession of a DEA license for controlled substances or the ability to obtain one as needed.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of recent and relevant experience as an APP in oncology is required.
  • Communication Skills: Strong and effective communication abilities are essential.
