This contract opportunity offers a flexible schedule with both part-time (4 days/week) and full-time (5 days/week) options, ideal for professionals seeking work-life balance. The assignment involves working across two schools, including PAEC programs, serving students ranging from kindergarten through age 22. Hours run from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with approximately 26 to 32.5 hours of paid time each week (excluding a 30-minute, unpaid lunch break).
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Physical Therapy license in Illinois, with experience in school-based or pediatric settings
- Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Competence in working with students across a wide range of abilities and ages (K-22)
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
- Able to travel between multiple service locations as needed
- Organized, flexible, and proactive approach to managing caseloads and documentation
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and implement physical therapy services for students as outlined in their IEPs
- Evaluate, assess, and develop tailored intervention plans for physical needs
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure holistic student support
- Maintain accurate records of sessions, student progress, and ongoing assessments
- Provide guidance to school staff and families on techniques that support student goals
- Contribute actively to team meetings and discussions regarding student care
