Job Description
Bring your expertise in educational psychology to an engaging contract opportunity supporting elementary students in grades 2 through 5. As the onsite psychologist, your focus will be on fostering a positive, inclusive environment. You’ll assist in one social-emotional classroom and offer support across several special education settings, utilizing both pull-out and inclusion models. Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification/licensure
- Successful experience working with elementary student populations
- Ability to provide assessments, counseling, and consultation in educational settings
- Strong background supporting diverse learners and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Resourceful, flexible, and dedicated to providing high-quality services
- Positive communication and organizational abilities
- Experience in social-emotional learning environments and special education settings preferred
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological and academic assessments for students in grades 2-5
- Collaborate with educators, families, and staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Offer direct support to one social-emotional classroom and provide consultation or resource services to additional students
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing professional development
- Maintain thorough documentation and work within school hours (8:25 am – 3:10 pm)
- Provide expertise in developing strategies that promote student success and well-being
