Job Description
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a 1:1 Paraeducator, providing focused support to a 4th-grade student in a structured, elementary school setting near Kingston, NH. This part-time role (Monday through Wednesday) is ideal for a professional who can confidently set limits while fostering independence in young learners. Candidates interested in full-time work have the option to travel to a second educational site on Thursdays and Fridays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver ongoing, direct assistance to a 4th-grade female student throughout the school day, strictly adhering to elementary hours (Monday–Wednesday).
- Implement intentional strategies to help the student develop autonomy and self-confidence.
- Maintain an authoritative and encouraging presence—set clear expectations, address behavioral challenges, and reinforce boundaries.
- Closely partner with general and special education staff, as well as administrative teams, to monitor progress and adapt support plans as needed.
- Additional individualized information regarding the student’s background and needs will be shared during the interview stage.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; paraprofessional certification, associate degree, or passing Praxis score preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead with confidence, consistently enforce boundaries, and encourage student growth.
- Previous success in one-on-one support roles or behavior management settings.
- Flexibility to work part-time (Monday–Wednesday) or consider full-time opportunities by covering an additional site (Thursday–Friday).
