LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing real estate investment and property management organization to recruit a Senior Property Accountant for its Dallas office. This is a hybrid opportunity offering a competitive salary of $90,000-$100,000, bonus potential, comprehensive benefits, and the ability to work remotely one day each week.

In this role, you will support a portfolio of properties while collaborating with multiple departments to ensure the accuracy of financial reporting, compliance, and month-end close activities. Responsibilities:
  • Complete and review month-end close activities, including bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring all reporting deadlines are achieved.
  • Analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, to verify accuracy and identify unusual trends or variances.
  • Review the work prepared by Property Accountants, providing guidance and ensuring compliance with established accounting policies and procedures.
  • Perform financial analyses, recurring reporting, and ad hoc requests to support operational decision-making and business initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Accounting Managers to balance workloads, improve efficiencies, and support cross-training within the accounting team.
  • Partner with departments including Operations, Leasing, HOA, and other internal stakeholders to understand business activity and its impact on financial results.
  • Communicate with field personnel and external partners to explain financial results, answer questions, and provide accounting support.
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests, including SOX compliance, internal controls, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Coach and mentor junior accounting staff while encouraging continued professional development and knowledge sharing.
  • Manage and review high-volume accounting transactions while maintaining exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of accounting experience, including financial statement preparation and property accounting.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with Yardi is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
