Medical Collections Lead Phoenix, AZ | Onsite Pay: $25-$30/hour Full-Time | Experienced Candidates Only Medical Collections Lead - Healthcare Revenue Cycle A well-established healthcare organization in the Phoenix area is seeking an experienced Medical Collections Lead to join its revenue cycle team. This onsite leadership role is ideal for a collections professional with a strong background in healthcare accounts receivable, insurance follow-up, team leadership, and revenue cycle operations. As a third-party recruiter, we are partnering with a confidential healthcare employer looking for a motivated professional who can drive collection performance, support team development, and help optimize reimbursement processes. The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable:
- Lead and support a team of medical collections representatives to achieve departmental goals.
- Monitor aged accounts receivable and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding balances.
- Review and resolve complex insurance claim denials, underpayments, and reimbursement issues.
- Analyze collection trends and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Collaborate with billing, coding, and revenue cycle teams to maximize collections.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, payer guidelines, and company policies.
- Assist with staff training, coaching, and performance monitoring.
- Generate reports and provide updates on collection metrics and team productivity.
- 3+ years of medical collections experience within a healthcare environment.
- Previous lead, supervisor, or team lead experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care plans.
- Experience working accounts receivable, denial management, and insurance follow-up.
- Proficient with healthcare billing systems and electronic medical records.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Revenue cycle management experience.
- Multi-specialty physician practice or hospital collections experience.
- Advanced knowledge of healthcare reimbursement processes.
