Facility Overview:The VA Loma Linda Healthcare System (VALLHCS) is on the lookout for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Anesthesiologist dedicated to serving our Veterans—America's Heroes! Our healthcare teams are highly skilled and focused on the unique needs of Veterans, their families, and caregivers.
This facility is affiliated with Loma Linda University Health Medical School, making the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows a key aspect of this role. Position Responsibilities:Conduct assessments, consultations, and prepare patients for anesthesia, including pre-operative evaluations.
Administer anesthesia to ensure pain relief during surgical, therapeutic, and diagnostic procedures, along with managing affected patients.
Monitor and restore homeostasis throughout the perioperative period, as well as in critically ill or injured patients.
Diagnose and provide intraoperative treatment for painful conditions.
Oversee and teach cardiac and pulmonary resuscitation techniques.
Evaluate respiratory function and implement various forms of respiratory therapy.
Supervise, instruct, and assess the performance of both medical and paramedical staff in anesthesia practices.
Engage in administrative duties within hospitals, medical schools, and outpatient facilities to fulfill these responsibilities.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives if desired.
Compensation: $350,000 - $380,000 annually
Work Schedule: Flexible hours, with options for weekdays or weekends, including Saturday or Sunday in-house shifts.
Preferred Qualifications: ABA Board Certified or Board Eligible
