Project Manager – Federal Energy & Facilities Projects
Location: Savannah, GA (Fort Stewart & Hunter Army Airfield)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, On-Site | 7:00 AM – 4:00/5:00 PM (Overtime Expected)
Travel: Approximately 60% Fort Stewart, 40% Hunter Army Airfield (1–2 days/week) | Gas Card Provided

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Project Manager to support large-scale federal energy, sustainability, and facilities infrastructure projects at Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield near Savannah, GA. This role will oversee projects involving HVAC systems, building automation systems (BAS), controls, electrical infrastructure, utility metering, and other MEP-related systems.

Military experience is encouraged but not required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of assigned construction, service, and maintenance projects involving HVAC, BAS, electrical, and building systems.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, forecasting, subcontractors, procurement, and materials.
  • Coordinate multiple projects and competing priorities while ensuring timely completion.
  • Negotiate and administer subcontract agreements.
  • Monitor project financials, revenue forecasts, margins, and cost controls.
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements, safety regulations, and US Army Corps of Engineers standards.
  • Coordinate project teams, electricians, technicians, mechanics, and subcontractors.
  • Review and maintain project documentation, reporting, and deliverables.
  • Help develop estimates, proposals, and technical responses for clients.
  • Identify project risks and implement recovery plans when necessary.
  • Provide regular project updates to leadership and customers.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience managing technical teams supporting HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or related building systems.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong scheduling, planning, and coordination experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain government security clearances, including successful completion of background, employment, criminal history, and credit checks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing commercial or industrial HVAC projects involving chillers, boilers, air handlers, VAV systems, controls, BAS, or utility metering systems.
  • Experience with MEP estimating and project cost management.
  • Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) experience.
  • Experience working with government contracts and procurement requirements.
  • Experience managing multiple trades and subcontractors.
  • Experience using project management and financial software, including Microsoft Project.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience).
