Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid licensure or certification as a School Psychologist (in Texas or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience working in education settings or with school-aged children preferred
- Strong understanding of psychoeducational assessments, behavioral interventions, and counseling
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and administrators
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and interpret results to inform educational planning
- Provide direct counseling and interventions to students in need of academic, social, or emotional support
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create individualized education plans (IEPs) and 504 plans
- Consult with staff regarding behavioral interventions, crisis prevention, and classroom strategies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, records, and reports in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development opportunities
